The Broadridge PIN and Account number are two different numbers.
Broadridge Account Number
The Broadridge Account Number is a unique number that is associated with your account only. Once you are imported into Broadridge, an account will be created and a physical letter will be sent to the address on your account.

The Broadridge PIN is required to initially set up your Broadridge account. Once you receive your Broadridge Account Number, you will need to follow PIN Request Instructions in order to receive a physical letter with your PIN.

XY does not send the PIN letter (physically or electronically), and any issues you may have with your PIN will need to be addressed with Broadridge.
