One of the important things to consider when making an investment is the time frame of that investment. Some people want to get their return in weeks or months, and others are willing to let investments ride for years or even decades. We would like you to know that XY is not a short term investment. There are possibilities for a variety of outcomes, some of which will result in loss or gain for your investment.
Possible Outcome 1 - IPO
Should XY company IPO, we would join a public exchange like the NASDAQ or NYSE. At minimum, this would take several years to come to fruition, most likely longer, and of course may never become the case. Currently, we do not have a date for IPO and XY company is not currently publicly traded. However, you can stay tuned to our social media and any emails from XY for any important updates! Investors will be among the first to know whenever we're at liberty to discuss important changes.
Possible Outcome 2 - You sell to a private buyer
Since the XY stock is a public equity, you can sell it or will it whenever you want. The only thing to remember is that there is not an open market for it, so you would have to bring your own buyer for you to be able to sell it. What you could do would be find someone else interested in the shares and our transfer agent could help facilitate the transfer of the shares to the new shareholder.
Possible Outcome 3 - The company fails
This would mean that your investment has been lost. Usually if this happens, any debt or creditors we have would first get paid back, and then anything that may be left over is sold and split between all the share holders.
These are, of course, not the only outcomes for XY. We could also potentially sell XY to larger company. However, these potential outcomes may help you better understand what kind of return you may experience with a purchase of XY Equity.
The important thing for the XY team is that our stock is valued the same way as yours, so we all either win or lose together. As you can see, in all of these cases, it is a multi-year journey that you would join us on.
