Good question! While the two apps have some similarities, you'll find they're quite different fundamentally, both in their uses and the way that they work.
COIN is a gamified geomining utility which helps make XYO fun, rewarding, and accessible, while XYO Network App is a practical utility which allows everyone to use XYO's many features. Both apps are essential and integral in helping XYO work and grow.

What they have in common:
Both apps are software products created by XY for the purpose of interacting with XYO. Each one makes use of XYO Tokens, the Ethereum-based ERC20 tokens used to power XYO Network transactions. Both apps encourage and allow people to interact with XYO, and both apps can detect nearby XY Sentinels.
COIN:
COIN is a gamified utility used for geomining XYO Tokens. Like a lot of popular mobile games, it's location-based to encourage exploration, but COIN also serves a practical purpose. It allows users to interact with nearby XY Sentinels to collect XYO Tokens, which can be traded or used for XYO transactions. This is a fun and rewarding way to encourage users to interact with XY Sentinels and helps expand XYO's number of edge nodes.
Presently, COIN does not interact with a Bridge, act as a Bridge, or turn your mobile device into a Bridge, but as XYO expands and new advances become available, COIN will receive additional features. It will retain its gamelike user interface and XYO Token rewards, helping make XYO fun and accessible so it will grow.
Some of the amazing new features introduced to COIN so far include the ability to withdraw your XYO Tokens to an ERC20 wallet, "Easter egg" assets to hunt and collect, the ability to share your XYO Tokens by geodropping them for other users.
COIN is now available for Android and iOS smartphone and tablet users. You can read a full rundown of COIN and how to use it here.
XYO Network App:
The XYO Network App is a utility that allows the user's smartphone or tablet computer to become a Bridge for the user's Sentinel devices, produce Bound Witness data, provide heuristic data for XYO Network users, display Origin Chain information, and several other XYO functions needed to use XYO.
Most importantly, it allows users to register, organize, and update their XYO devices, especially the firmware of fully wireless edge nodes such as Sentinel X.
This app is currently in the beta testing phase for Android users before a full release is rolled out, and in full production for iOS users. Some of the most important features of XYO will be built into our namesake app in future versions. Notably, tracking the accumulation of heuristics, XYO tokens, and being able to query XYO Network.
This is the app that will help XYO work and will be the primary interface for the killer tech we've been telling you about. While more utility than game, the more features we build into XYO, the more useful it will become.
You can download the beta version of the XYO Network App for Android, or the full release of XYO Network for iOS.
Thanks for getting involved in XYO! If you have any questions, please send us a message.

Slowly getting the hang of this minig just need more sentinals to pass,
70 dwellings with multiple deliveries from retailers dead end street
Have to pass to turn around,
Delivery companies should be useful additions to local mining,
After all we are next door to Europes Largest Red Granite Quarry.

Am I supposed to get a password from the XY Network founding fathers?
How do you toggle between a bridge and a sentinel in the network app?
